Program Objectives

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of; Employer, Constructor, Supervisor and worker, with respect to working at heights.
  • Explain hazards posed by working at heights
  • Describe the Hierarchy of Controls
  • List safety procedures for warning methods and physical barriers, for ladders and other equipment.
  • To learn basic knowledge of the physics of falling and how it relates to the human body during a fall arrest and post fall rescue.
  • To become familiar with a variety of equipment and systems
  • To learn about fall protection regulations (OHSA & CSA Standard).
